North Wales League

As some of you already know Abergele Ladies will be competing in the North Wales league this season and not Division 1.

The decision to withdraw from Division 1 has not been taken lightly. For the last 5 years we have made the 3-4 hour journey down South, to play numerous amounts of teams but the travel along with other external factors has started to take its toll on the team.

Before pre-season we were given the opportunity to compete in the North Wales league for the upcoming season. As a team we decided that this would be a great opportunity for us to re-group and build on the already strong foundations we have built. Moving into this league we also help us learn and develop our game further with the likes of our new coach, as well as hopefully bring in new players who before have been put off by the travel and minimal home games.

Being part of this league is something we’ve always hoped for. It give us an opportunity to help build and expand North Wales rugby. We hope to see more teams develop in the North and look forward to the upcoming season.

We’d like to thank everyone at the club, coaches, family and friends who have supported us. This is more than a sport for us, this is a family and a place where we can all grow and learn from each other.

Here’s to the new season and next chapter for the ladies!

Bring it on!! 💪💪💚💚🏉🏉
