Abergele Ladies final game of the season went out with a bang!
With the sun beaming and the girls ready to end the season they welcomed Croesyceiliog Ladies to Pentre Mawr
Nikki Weldon-Jones leading the girls out, they lined up awaiting the blow of the whistle, within two minutes of playing, fast paced Laura Taylor powered through Croesy's defence adding the first set of points to the board, with elz converting setting the girls off to a 7-0 lead....
Croesy powered their way through the scrums making it difficult for Gele to break, and holding a defence line they made the Green Army work for the ball, with an overtunred ball once again Gele unleased laura taylor heading for the try line once again, with elz converting. Gele were flying through 12-0
Croesy come back fighting, stopping Gele in their tracks, and putting in some hard hits on the Green Army, but Gele's number 10 saw a gap and went speeding down, and converting 19-0
With Abergeles backline stretching their legs, winger megs making some ground down the line, and some switched balls between Sophie and George, Gele taunting Croesy's defensive line, hitting the gaps hard with the first half ending at 47-0.

Second Half saw Croesy coming back with some hard forward ball, pushing The Green Army's front pack to put some power tackles from the likes of Chelsea and Amie, pushing Gele into their 22, with a scrum down, Gele put the hard work in and scrumed hard winning the ball with elz kicking it out of danger.
Croesy put up a fight and tested the front pack, with some awesome tackles from Alisha, Nikki and Emma it kept Croesy at bay, with the balls going out to the backs, it gave elz another opportunity to add some points to the board, missed conversion. Just giving the girls enough time to re-group Gele's Scrum half Lucy went through the middle of the posts making it an easy 2 extra points for elz
Croesy were still digging deep and putting in some tough scrums, putting pressure on Becki, Erin and Amy taking the impact from the front row. But Gele kept drawing in the Croesy defence, and taking advantage of the gaps, with Laura having an outstanding game, adding another try to her collection, with elz converting
As the game was heading to a close, Lucy thought she would squeeze one more in and with elz converting it brought the closing score to 75-0.
Both Teams played an awesome game of rugby, putting in the big tackles.
Big thanks to Croesyceiliog for making the journey up North. Massive thanks for the continued support from friends, family and the club.
